Pink Paper Princess

I have a couple layouts to share :)

(Sorry about the bad picture, I had to take this with my phone).
This winter I had some pictures taken outside, since I generally don't like snow and being out in the cold I don't take a lot of photos in the winter.  But when my talented friend  Danielle (http://www.dhdesignphotography.com/ talked about wanting to do a shoot in the snow, I offered up my kid since he does love the snow :)
When I saw this photo I new I had to use this BoBunny paper!  I love the wood grain and the snowflake combo!
I cut the wood  grain into strips so that I could distress each one before adhering it down to the cardstock.  I fussy cut the snowflakes and other elements from the collection and layered them around my photo.  Added a few drops of liquid pearl and this is the finished product!

Again the BoBunny paper spoke to me...I took this photo on our Cabo trip in May.  The colors in the photo just worked with the paper.  Again I did a lot of layers, distressing and fussy cutting!  I colored the pearls inside the flowers with sharpie because I didn't like them white.

Sketch Challenge and Tutorial

The sketch is up at http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/!!

Here is the yummy prize for the winner!!

It was a lot of fun to work with!  I love when I get the chance to add circles to my layouts :)

Here is what I created, everything I used came from the June Album kit!

I also have a tutorial on how I created the flowers!

"I really wanted to add a few flowers to my layout... I needed them to be masculine since the layout was about my husband and little boy!

I decided to make them with the corrugated paper that comes in the kit!

I traced two of the canvas flowers (that are included in the kit) on the back of the corrugated paper and cut them out.

I distressed the edges with my distress tool.

I ran a colored ink over the top of the flower.

I cut the trim into 4 inch sections.

I rolled the trim and glued it at the end.

I adhered the two layers of the flower together and the trim on top. I also inked the edges with brown ink."
