I am going to share with you the technique I used to create the background in my Caboose Junction layout!

 

Here are the supplies I used...

I punched a circle (you can use any shape) into a piece of scrap cardstock. A background stamp and ink.  I like to use the stamp in the circle because it gives me more control.  It bothers me when I use a background stamp (like the one you see in the picture) and the edge of the stamp shows up on my layout!  This technique eliminates that!

This is what it looks like after I have stamped using the circle as a stencil.

I added some mist, and my background is complete!

 

 



Life Is Good Mini Album!!

Today I am sharing a mini album that I created using the Main kit at My Creative Scrapbook!!

The kit featured Jillibean Soup!!  The colors and patterns in this collection were beautiful!!

I love making albums with the MCS kits, they are so packed with embellishments, it makes it so easy and fun!!

 

This album has lots of pockets and flips!!  But I will share all those another day!!

I am going to share a technique for making a fun pattern from striped pattern paper!!

I started with this paper...

 

 

I cut a strip with one black and one white stripe.  I cut that in half so I had two 6 inch strips.

I overlapped one of the strips on top of the other, creating a "V".

I cut my "V" in half.

This is what it will look like.  Repeat this process until you have enough to make your layout.

I layered mine over the gorgeous floral print paper!
